This is an amazing book, Nick Vukovics Collection is impressive to say the least, and Murray Walding keyed the whole thing together writing a book that is informative about the formative years of Australian popluar music and the world of the posters that sold them to the people.

The book is broken down by eras, we feature pretty heavily in the last era… bringing it up to today.

We also got into the pocket edition A-Z edition of this book … both books contain differrent works

We were way lucky to get to do a print for this Peaches Tour. Peaches is a rarity in music. She does her own thing an induvidual. We wanted to do a print that reflected her raunchy side, was a little tongue in cheek and also  something that was eye catching and fun…. I think we got there.

This poster was the first we did for Kurt Wagner and Lambchop.

Sadly Im pretty sure they are all gone.

This print is limited to 100 for the tour that Trial Kennedy are taking around Australia as part of the Trilogy Tour (August 6th – September 6th) with friends Dukes Of Windsor and Midnight Youth ( NZ ) .

I have to be honest I wasn’t to familiar with the band prior to the poster. Sean flicked me a copy of the CD, and I thought it was pretty sweet. It wasnt what I usually listened to, but nonetheless the guys rock. One of the things that struck me was the lyrics and how tight the band were musically. These guys are damn tight musos, with some killer tunes.

If youre after one of these baby’s, you will have to either go to the show, and hopefully there will be some left, or pray that after the tour there is something left on offer on there website. Personally I’d go for option A. This way you will be supporting the bands directly.

Dukes of Windsor are a sweet band , Midnight Youth Im not familiar with but if theyre touring with these guys, theyd have to be good too.

Muddy Waters. He was something special . I always used to hear people name dropping Muddy and raving bout him, but never really got it till one day i watched a doco on him. It was a Mojo WOrking doco. Man…..

I did this painting around that time years ago when I was trying to re learn how to paint. It captured Muddys look, and i think it worked out well.

The theme was Monsters. I could be anything , so long as it was a monster .

Having always been a fan of old horror movies I went for the whole modern  thing of postage stamps with pop culture history on them. Ive seen beatles and Hendrix and even Elvis on a stamps, but nothing like Monsters.

Only one of each print was made for the exhibition. Sadly I dont have a copy of any of them…  was fun to do. Frankenstein being my favourite.

I dont really know what to call this print, hence The 60s Generation. I designed this to fill a wall in a stairwell in a store here in melbourne. It was to be about 2.3 X 3.6 meters in size. HUGE. But well , as things go it didnt occur. But prints were made at 1.3 x 1.6 meters . Theyre printed on a special paper with this kinda photographic gloss in it, and U.V inks that are resistant to fading. They use a shitload of ink when getting printed. I have printed them on demand but like all these things, they cost a lot to do one, and postage at this size is dificult. So… if youe in Melbourne, its easy to sort, if youre overseas… just look at this pretty pic.
